In a recent EDS poll, 87.6% of managers claimed they spent too much time resolving disputes between employees.

After some investigation, it is clear that many managers and employees lack simple self-awareness tools that enable them to understand and control their behavior rather than react when faced with stress and conflict.

Unresolved conflict or poorly handled conflict destroy good relationships quickly and can turn a wonderful workplace into a hostile one in a matter of days and weeks. We have found this to be even more true in government where the tenure of employees is much greater than most workplaces.

To save managers time resolving conflict and help employees to hold themselves accountable, we have perfected an 8-hour workshop specifically designed for government workplaces, but we have found it works everywhere! This workshop is an onsite, customized interactive learning experience for any size group.

Workshop Objectives
Through self-discovery and increased awareness, participants will:

  1. Understand their own approach to conflict and how they unintentionally create and increase conflict.
  2. Reduce workplace conflict by holding themselves accountable for their own behavior.
  3. Promote a rewarding environment for people of differing approaches to conflict.
  4. Ease fears regarding conflict by understanding how conflict is a source for creativity.
  5. Learn that conflict is good, but how poorly handled or unresolved conflict can destroy the workplace.

After the workshop, you can expect:

  1. A reduction of disruptive workplace conflict, including minor personality differences.
  2. Employees to manage their own conflict.

Managing Conflict is a highly interactive workshop with opportunities for small group discussion for participants to discuss the new information and how to integrate the knowledge into their workplace.

Help your employees discover a new self-awareness that will help them communicate better and repair damaged relationships, both at work and at home.

For a limited time, only $95.00 per participant, excluding travel, minumum 10 participants.

Includes:

  • Professional facilitation by a certified trainer.
  • Administration of the Strength Deployement Inventory.
  • Activities to help participants experience the value of collaboration, good communication and supporting each other.
  • Support material to hand out to each participants for further learning on their own, if they wish.
  • Follow up report with results of the workshop and recommendations moving forward to help reinforce the lessons learned in the workshop.
